Abstract:
Bihari cuisine refers to different cooking styles & various dishes that have originated from Bihar. This is one of very old cuisine of our country. People prepare and eat great foods but not enough thought or effort has gone into giving them suitable names or an identity. Bihari cuisine offers lots of options for vegetarians as well as non vegetarians. They have various options to offer in sweets and snacks as well. Some restaurants are coming up with Bihari foods as their major offerings. The key Ingredients are locally grown fresh vegetables, milk and milk products, dehydrated vegetables and cereals dumplings, sattu and various poultry, meat & fresh water fishes. Litti and some dishes made from sattu are very popular outside Bihar. Slow cooking and traditional fuels are the hallmark of cuisine. Bhoj is the feast, the traditional way of celebration.
